Thai Shrimp Balls
Ingredients:
- Shrimp - 500g (peeled and cleaned)
- Salt - to taste
- Mushroom seasoning - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Cooking wine - 1 tablespoon
- Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
- SuciMama 2 in 1 Fried Shallots and Garlic - for cooking
- Tomato - 1 (cut into chunks)
- Pineapple - some (cut into chunks)
- Sesame seeds - for garnish
- Green onions - for garnish
Sauce Ingredients:
- Thai chili sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Mushroom seasoning - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Water - as needed
- Cornstarch slurry - 2 tablespoons (mix cornstarch with water)
Steps:
Make the Sauce:
In a bowl, mix Thai chili sauce, vinegar, mushroom seasoning, salt, soy sauce, sugar, and water. Stir well and set aside
Marinate the Shrimp:
Marinate the peeled shrimp with salt, mushroom seasoning, pepper, sesame oil, cooking wine, and cornstarch. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
Fry the Shrimp Balls:
Shape the marinated shrimp into small balls and fry them until golden brown. Set aside.
Cook with SuciMama 2 in 1:
Heat some SuciMama 2 in 1 Fried Shallots and Garlic in a pan over low heat. Add the sauce, tomatoes, and pineapple, and bring to a boil. Stir in the cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce.
Mix in the Shrimp Balls:
Add the fried shrimp balls to the sauce and stir until fully coated.
Garnish and Serve:
Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top, and your Thai Shrimp Balls are ready to serve!
